Working together When not used during the game's story, the Velvet Room operates as Recursions method for rewards and bonuses.
Much like in the original video games, both of the two Velvets, Mary and William offer some bonuses and services in exchange for characters given them what they want. Some requests are available only for a month's time (or less), while others listed below have no set date, and characters are free to peruse them to reap the benefits. Some are challenges, while others require players to fulfill certain requirements. There is currently no limits to how many a character can preform during a single month! The two Velvets are ready to employ you both to improve this place and improve the world around you. Is your character up to the task? Keep fufilling the Velvet requests and they may be able to help you with even more... Simply reply below to one of the requests! Each one will have a time and requirements. Once you have it filled out and a mod or helper has verified it is good, you may reap the benefits!

TEMPORARY REQUESTS
COFFEE MACHINE - TIME LIMIT - OCTOBER 30TH 2017
“As you can see, we lack electronics for the area where coffee is served. Every company, I am told, requires a thing known as a ‘caffeine machine’. Ours is broken. Could you acquire one of these items for us or fix this one?”
MISSION
Do one of the following:
- Fix the coffee machine in the Velvet Room (bring it home and try to repair it...or try! Maybe get a few others involved?)
- Change the coffee machine (buy a new one outright and bring it to the Velvet Room)
NOTES
- There are no limits how many coffee machines may end up in the Velvet Room. Description to the Velvet Room will be modified accordingly.
REWARD
- Character can update one of their passive skills to their next level
HOW TO CLAIM
- Either have your character shop for a coffee machine in a log or take back the broken one and try to repair it
- Minimum 5 comments from your character regarding this (or a log is acceptable as well)
- Link to this thread as a reply and wait for mod/helper approval
NYAN FEVER - TIME LIMIT - OCTOBER 30TH 2017
“I wish to see the being known as ‘cat’. Master Igor wishes our organization to have what is known as a ‘mascot’, and I am told that cats are quite adorable! Please provide five pictures of different examples of this being so that I may study it.”
MISSION
- Take pictures of cats. Share them with the network and the Velvet Room
BONUS
- Wrangle a cat through the VR door during the next Velvet Room log (they will instantly want to leave)
- Put someone in a cat costume who really doesn’t want to be in one and bring them to the Velvet Room
- Take a picture of the cats while wearing a cat costume
REWARD
- A catnip pouch
- Life Stone (restores a user's energy instantly during a log)
- 10,000 macca (if someone is in a cat costume)
- Antidote (cures poison status instantly) - if the person attempted to bring a cat to the Velvet Room
HOW TO CLAIM
- Link to a post of your character's cat photos or a log where they take pictures
- Link to their thread in the Velvet Room log (when it gets posted) where your character brings in a cat, or shows up in a cat costume
- Wait for mod/helper approval to claim your prize
